Feeding Louisiana serves as the state’s food bank association. 

Together, we are made up of the five Feeding America member food banks serving all of Louisiana's 64 parishes.

Food Bank of Northeast Louisiana

The Food Bank of Northeast Louisiana provides food assistance to nearly 30,000 people each month and distributes food through a network of over 50 partner agencies that manage food pantries and meal programs.  

In addition, the Food Bank operates five feeding programs that directly provide food to local children, families, and seniors. Through our combined hunger-relief efforts, we provide over 6 million meals annually to our neighbors facing hunger.  
 
Serves the following 12 parishes: Caldwell; East Carroll; Franklin; Jackson; Lincoln; Madison; Morehouse; Ouachita; Richland; Tensas; Union; and West Carroll. 

Food Bank of Central Louisiana

The Food Bank of Central Louisiana distributes more than six million pounds of food to Central Louisiana each year. 

Food and grocery products are distributed from the Food Bank to families in need through a wide network of approved charitable agencies. It is with the generous support of individual and corporate donors that the Food Bank of Central Louisiana is able to serve more than 22,400 residents in the region every month.  

Serving the following 11 parishes: Allen, Avoyelles, Catahoula, Concordia, Grant, LaSalle, Natchitoches, Rapides, Sabine, Vernon and Winn 

Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana

The mission of the Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana is to serve as the primary resource for fighting hunger in Northwest Louisiana.

The food bank acquires, stores, and distributes food and other essential items to low-income seniors, children, and individuals through 150 community non-profit and faith-based organizations within our seven-parish service area. Each year, the food bank distributes over 15 million pounds of food to 75,000 individuals per year.

Serving the following 7 parishes: Bienville, Bossier, Caddo, Claiborne, DeSoto, Red River, and Webster.

Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank

The Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank helps serve 7,300 people each day by delivering food to more than 100 agency partners, completely free of charge.

The food bank’s mission is to feed the hungry in Baton Rouge and the surrounding parishes by providing food and educational outreach through faith-based and other community partners.

In 2022, the food bank distributed 12.5 million pounds of food amounting to over 10.4 million meals.

Serving the following 11 parishes: Ascension, Assumption, East Baton Rouge, East Feliciana, Iberville, Livingston, Pointe Coupee, St. Helena, St. James, West Baton Rouge, West Feliciana 

Second Harvest Food Bank of Greater New Orleans and Acadiana

The Second Harvest Food Bank leads the fight against hunger in South Louisiana by providing food access, advocacy, education, and disaster response.   

Second Harvest provides food and support to 700+ community partners and programs across 23 parishes. Our staff and volunteers distribute the equivalent of more than 32 million meals to 210,000+ people a year. Through our food distribution programs, community kitchen meal service, nutrition education, and public benefits assistance, we are helping to create pathways out of poverty. 

Serving the following 23 parishes:  Acadia, Beauregard, Calcasieu, Cameron, Evangeline, Iberia, Jefferson, Jefferson Davis, Lafayette, Lafourche, Orleans, Plaquemines, St. Bernard, St. Charles, St. Landry, St. Martin, St. Mary, St. Tammany, St. John the Baptist, Tangipahoa, Terrebonne, Vermilion, Washington
