Supplemental SNAP Benefits, Other Changes Approved for August


The U.S. Department of Agriculture has approved a number of waivers that will be important to SNAP clients as they continue to navigate the pandemic crisis.


Supplemental SNAP - August 21, 2020
On August 21, SNAP recipients will again receive the maximum benefit for their household size. Those not currently at max will receive a separate supplemental benefit to bring them to the max. Click here to view the SNAP maximum allotment amounts.

Re-certifications, Simplified Reports Extended
SNAP certifications for August have been extended until February 2021.

Interviews Waived
Initial Interviews for new SNAP applicants have been waived during the month of August.

Work Rule Suspended
The federal rule limiting Able-Bodied Adults to only 3 months of SNAP benefits has been temporarily suspended through Aug. 31, 2021, or until new standards come into effect.
