COVID Remain in Phase Two Information

Dear Colleagues:

As the Governor announced today, the State of Louisiana will stay in Phase Two of reopening. (See the release.)  It is up to all of us to follow the protocols.

To help us, please find the following attachments:

• DCFS Phase Two Guidance - re-issued, not changed.
• LDH Flyer.  Note the Contact Tracing information.  Anyone who receives a positive diagnosis can now call the toll-free number to report those close contacts that should be notified they have been in close contact (within 6 feet for more than 15 minutes with or without a mask).  This is a new service as of today.

We are offering this information as a way to better inform all staff.  Please continue to work with your supervisory staff for specific guidance as needed.  Please also note that it is important that we follow the guidelines with integrity.  Executive Staff meets with statewide leadership at some level weekly and make ourselves available at all times.  We are all in this together. 

Please take the Virtual Technology Alternatives survey that has been extended through Tuesday.  It will help us greatly to understand your desires and to weigh our options. 

Thank you for choosing to work at DCFS. We are working to protect our workers as we serve the public.  Nothing is more important than our own actions toward social distancing, handwashing, disinfecting surfaces and wearing masks – not only at work though! What we each do outside of work will impact those at work, employees and clients.  Let’s make decisions to follow the Governor’s precautions all the time; that’s best for us and all those around us.
