Connie Guillory
Assistant Secretary of Child Welfare
Ms. Guillory brings more than 28 years of dedicated service in child welfare to her role. She holds a Bachelor of Social Work from Northwestern State University and a Master of Social Work from Louisiana State University. Throughout her career, she has served in a variety of critical capacities, including Child Protection Services and Foster Care casework, foster care supervision, Centralized Intake Hotline management, and leadership in technology enhancement initiatives aimed at strengthening service delivery statewide.
Ms. Guillory has also served as Area Director for the Baton Rouge region and most recently as Deputy Assistant Secretary of Field Operations, where she provided strategic oversight and operational leadership to advance the department’s mission.
Her career reflects a steadfast commitment to protecting children, strengthening families, and ensuring safe, stable, and nurturing environments where children can thrive. Known for her collaborative leadership style and focus on innovation and accountability, Ms. Guillory continues to champion improvements that support staff and enhance outcomes for Louisiana’s children and families.
