Lester Duhé

Lester Duhé serves as the Public Affairs Director for the Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services. He leads the agency’s communications strategy, oversees media relations, manages public messaging, and directs digital and social media engagement.

Lester joined DCFS after serving as Press Secretary for Attorney General Liz Murrill and the Louisiana Department of Justice, where he acted as the official spokesperson for the department in its statewide and national media communications. He also led the messaging on major legal actions, investigations, and initiatives and managed digital platforms, press materials, and content creation.

Before entering public service, Lester spent several years as a reporter, anchor, and multimedia journalist at WAFB-TV and KLFY-TV, where he covered breaking news, produced newscasts, and created digital content for large regional audiences. He also served as Communications Director for the Better Business Bureau of South Central Louisiana, overseeing media outreach, social media strategy, and public engagement.

Lester is a graduate of Loyola University New Orleans, where he earned a B.A. in Mass Communication with a minor in Marketing. He has been recognized with multiple awards, including the New Orleans Press Club’s First Place award for Best Use of Facebook and Loyola’s Outstanding Electronic Media Graduate honor.
