It is critical that youth in foster care are able to maintain consistent contact with their families, siblings, and other supportive people in their lives. It is important the DCFS caseworker, the youth’s attorney, the court and CASA volunteer maintain contact with the youth. Having communication with those who are important to them ensures the safety, permanency, and well-being of youth who have been removed from their home and everything they were used to. The training will review the new youth cell phone policy, cell phone readiness assessment, agreement form, and the parental app used to monitor cell phone use. You will also be given the opportunity to ask any questions you may have.
