Federal Cost of Living Adjustment Will Affect SNAP and Other Benefits Received Through DCFS

Benefits under the Family Independence Temporary Assistance Program (FITAP), Kinship Care Subsidy Program (KCSP) and Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), commonly known as food stamps, will be decreasing for some Louisiana residents in 2023, due to a federal cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) to Social Security and veteran’s benefits.
