DSNAP Approved for Allen, Iberia Parishes Due to Hurricane Delta

01.15.2021 - DCFS received approval Thursday, Jan. 14, to begin virtual DSNAP operations for Allen and Iberia parishes due to damages sustained from Hurricane Delta. The application window will be open from Tuesday, Jan. 19, through Friday, Jan. 22.
SNAP Benefits Increasing Temporarily Due to COVID, Starting Jan. 8

The legislation may also make more Louisianans eligible for SNAP by excluding federal unemployment benefits and stimulus checks from consideration as income and by expanding student eligibility.

12.21.2020 - A federal cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) to Social Security and veterans benefits for 2021 will result in decreases to some Louisiana residents' Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits, also known as food stamps, as well as benefits through the Family Independence Temporary Assistance Program (FITAP).
SNAP Benefits Schedule Is Changing
