MOTIVATIONAL INTERVIEWING

The Louisiana Child Welfare Training Academy (LCWTA) in collaboration with the DHH, Office of Behavioral Health, is offering a two-day core training on Motivational Interviewing.

This training facilitated by Alan Lyme, MSW, ICADC, ICCS, will offer participants the opportunity to learn the basic skill-set needed for Motivational Interview, the underlying spirit and basic building blocks, and how it may be utilized in a variety of settings. Role play and practice are a large part of this experience. Continuing Education Credits (CEUs) will be provided to Social Workers and Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC).

Special instructions: TARGETED PARTICIPANTS: This training is open to professional level Child Welfare staff working in the following regions: Orleans, Baton Rouge, Covington, and Thibodaux.
