MAPP Training (Week 2)

The emphasis of this course is placed on various tools and techniques that can assist trainers in making effective presentations. Included will be a look at group dynamics, family assessments, and specific presentation skills. Facilitation/Presentation skills will be examined and practiced during. This curriculum is designed to build on the competencies obtained during MAPP/GPS Leader Certification training (Week 1).

Special instructions: PRE-REQUISITES: Home Development Staff: New Worker Orientation and Assessment and Case Planning with the Family. Must complete MAPP Training Week 1.

LODGING: Rooms have been blocked at Chase Suites. Direct billing has been arranged and workers must make their room reservations at least one week prior to the training start date. Chase Suites will try to accommodate participants if they miss the cut off date; but there “are no guarantees”. Remember to bring a tax-exempt form to the hotel.
