Child Welfare Worker Safety

This is an announcement of Child Welfare Worker Safety Workshops, offered in
collaboration with Healthy Blue (formerly Amerigroup). These workshops will begin with a review of NASW professional guidelines on worker safety and examine child welfare
workforce and vulnerability to risk. This workshop will focus on the 4 A’s model of self-protection: awareness, assessing risk levels, anticipation/de-escalation, and action steps. The workshops will conclude with discussions of related trauma issues. The goal of the workshops is for the child welfare worker to have tools for enhancing their own safety in the workplace.
