This is an announcement of Adult Mental Health and Disorders Workshops, offered in
collaboration with Healthy Blue (formerly Amerigroup). These workshops will examine the diagnosis of four key adult psychiatric disorders commonly seen in human services:
Schizophrenia Spectrum; Bipolar, Anxiety, and Personality Disorders. The focus of the
workshops is on the criteria for accurate diagnosis of the disorders (using the DSM-V), on effective psychosocial interventions (evidence-based treatments), and on
psychopharmacological interventions (evidence-based treatments). The goal of the
workshops is for child welfare workers to have basic information on the diagnosis and
effective treatments of several key adult mental disorders.
