This curriculum provides fundamental knowledge and skills needed for child welfare services delivery that are common to the CPI, ARFA, FS and FC program areas. Each training day builds upon the preceding one and each week builds upon the other. Included in the training content: History and Laws of Child Welfare; Intake and Screening; The Laws; Definitions of Allegation; Objective Documentation; Physical Indicators of Child
Maltreatment; Ethics; Safety and Risk Assessment; Structured Decision Making; Casework Assessment; Case Planning, FATS; ACESS; The Court System; Exploring Issues: Substance Abuse, Mental Illness and Domestic Violence; Basic Interviewing; Cultural Competency; and Separation and Attachment.

Special instructions: Please register for this course through your Regional Trainer.

The pre-requisites to this training is New Worker Orientation Week One and Week Two.
