MAPP/GPS LEADER CERTIFICATION (Week 1)

Participants will need to register for and complete week 1 and week 2 of this training. Completion of this course (weeks 1 and 2) will certify Home Development staff as facilitators of pre-service classes for prospective foster and adoptive parents.

Special instructions: MATERIALS: Bring the seven sessions MAPP/GPS Training Manual and a set of the Foster Parent Resource Guides (Meetings 1-7).

LODGING: Rooms have been blocked at Chase Suites. Direct billing has been arranged and DCFS workers must make their room reservations at least one week prior to the training start date. Chase Suites will try to accommodate participants if they miss the cut off date; but there “are no guarantees”. Remember to bring a tax-exempt form to the hotel.
