Child Welfare New Worker Orientation Week One

This is a training model which provides fundamental knowledge and skills needed for Child Welfare services delivery that is common to CPI, ARFA, FS and FC program areas. Each training day builds upon the preceding one and each week builds upon the other.
The following information is included in the training content: History and Laws of Child Welfare; Intake and Screening; Definitions of Allegations; Objective Documentation; Physical Indicators of Child Maltreatment; Ethics; Family Engagement Skills; Safety Focused Practice; Safety and Risk Assessment; Structured Decision Making; and Cultural Competency as it relates to Child Welfare practice and services.
Special instructions: All participants should register for training through their Regional Trainer. This training will begin at 8:30 am and end at 3:30 pm Monday through Thursday. On Friday the training will begin at 8:30 am and will end at noon
