Infant Mental Health Training

This training is offered in a three part series, with two day increments. It is available to designated staff assigned to the Child Welfare Family Services Program. The training encourages participants to consider the roles of natural helpers, caregivers and professionals and how each impacts the lives of children and caregivers. Trainers make use of vignettes and video demonstrations to highlight skills and techniques.
Training dates are August 18-19, 2014; October 29-30, 2014 and December 16-17, 2014

Special instructions: Employees wishing to attend this training must complete and submit a Workshop/Conference Request Form with the appropriate signatures to DCFS.CW-Training@LA.GOV no later than the close of business on July 25, 2014. Once participants have been identified and approved to attend this training, they will receive registration information via email. Refer to Training Memo TM 14-055 for additional information.
