This training model provides a fundamental knowledge and skills needed for Child Welfare services delivery common to CPI, FS and FC program areas. The following information is included in the training content: History and Laws of Child Welfare; Intake and Screening; Definitions of Allegations; Objective Documentation; Physical Indicators of Child Maltreatment; Ethics; Family Engagement Skills; and Cultural Competency as it relates to Child Welfare practice and services.
Special instructions: Once supervisors approve staff to attend this training, supervisors must send the participants' Name, EIN, Region and Program to DCFS.CW-Training@LA.Gov Refer to Training Memo TM 14-065 for additional information. Also refer to Memo 09-049 and DCFS Memorandum 2010-01 (A-C) dated January 19, 2010.
This training will begin at 8:30 a.m. and end at 3:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday. On Friday, the training will begin at 8:30 a.m. and will end at noon.
A sweater is recommended due to the temperature of the room.
