Foster Care Assessment and Case Planning Training

This is a training model which provides fundamental knowledge and skills needed for Child Welfare services delivery that is common to the FC program area. This training will provide an overall review of Foster Care Policy and procedures as well as provide activity
to assist in developing and building upon engagement, assessment skills, and the development of behavior specific case plan goals.

Special instructions: All participants should register through their supervisors. Supervisors should send the worker’s name, EIN, Region and Program to DCFS.CW-Training@LA.Gov by August 20, 2014. Refer to Training Memorandum TM 14-064. Also, Please refer and adhere to the December 22, 2009, Memorandum 09-49, “Budget Saving Measures” regarding travel, lodging, meals, and the use of state vehicles. In addition, staff should refer to the DCFS Memorandum 2010-01 (A-C) dated January 19, 2010. A sweater is recommended due to the temperature of the room.
