This training model provides a fundamental knowledge and skills needed for Child Welfare services delivery common to CPI, FS and FC program areas. The following information is included in the training content: History and Laws of Child Welfare; Intake and Screening; Definitions of Allegations; Objective Documentation; Physical Indicators of Child Maltreatment; Ethics; Family Engagement Skills; and Cultural Competency as it relates to Child Welfare practice and services.
Special instructions: All participants should register through their supervisors. Supervisors should send the worker’s name, EIN, Region and Program to DCFS.CW-Training@LA.Gov Refer to the following for additional information: Online Training Memorandum TM 15-001 Memorandum 09-049 and DCFS Memorandum 2010-01 (A-C). Training will end at 2:00pm on January 30, 2015.
