Child Welfare New Worker Orientation Week Two

This training model provides a fundamental knowledge and skills needed for Child Welfare services delivery common to CPI, FS and FC program areas. The fundamental areas include History and Laws of Child Welfare; Intake and Screening; Definitions of Allegations; Objective Documentation; Physical Indicators of Child Maltreatment; Ethics; Family Engagement Skills; and Cultural Competency as it relates to Child Welfare practice and services.
Special instructions: All participants should register through their supervisors. Supervisors should send the worker’s name, EIN, Region and Program to DCFS.CW-Training@LA.Gov. Training ends at 2:00 Pm on February 13, 2015. Refer to the following for additional information: Training Memorandum; Memorandum 09-049 and DCFS Memorandum 2010-01 (A-C).
