MAPP/GPS Leader Certification Week 1

The revisions of the MAPP/GPS curriculum condensed from ten (10) sessions into seven (7) sessions and use of the Parent Resource Work Book will be demonstrated. Major topics include an overview of fostering, adopting, how children enter care, as well as helping children with grief, attachment, birth family and separation issues. Also addressed are the issues of discipline and helping families assess the impact of fostering or adopting in their presently constituted families.

Special instructions: To register for this training, participants should contact their supervisors for approval. Once approved, supervisors are to send the participants Name, EIN, Region, and Program to DCFS.CW-Training@LA.GOV
