Child Welfare New Worker Orientation Week One

The Child Welfare New Worker Orientation provides fundamental knowledge and skills needed for Child Welfare service delivery common to CPS, FS, and FC program areas. This series will include program specific information to assist in introducing new Child Welfare staff to their daily tasks and duties while employed at DCFS

Special instructions: The training starts at 12 noon on Monday and ends on 12 noon on Friday. It is 8:30-4:00 on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. All participants should register through their supervisors. Supervisors should send the worker’s name, EIN, Region and Program to DCFS.CW-Training@LA.Gov For lodging please use the Hotel Planner portal at http://louisiana.hotelplanner.com. Please note: Lodging is not approved for Sunday nights as training will begin at 12 noon on Mondays. Refer to the online Training Memorandum for additional information.
