Motivational Interviewing

This two day training will provide participants with information on motivational interviewing. Motivational Interviewing is a form of collaborative conversation for strengthening a person’s motivation and commitment to change. This training is designed to assist direct practice staff in developing the skills needed to strengthen an individual’s motivation toward a specific goal by exploring the person reason for change within an atmosphere of acceptance and compassion

Special instructions: Once supervisors approve staff to attend this training, supervisors must send the participants' Name, EIN, Region and Program to Karen Austin at DCFS.CW-Training@LA.Gov. Please refer to the online Training Memorandum announcement for additional information.
