CHILD WELFARE NEW WORKER ORIENTATION Specialized Week

The Child Welfare New Worker Orientation provides fundamental knowledge and skills needed for Child Welfare service delivery common to CPS, FS, and FC program areas. This series will include program specific information to assist in introducing new Child Welfare staff to their daily tasks and duties while employed at DCFS. This session will include Mental Health, Substance Abuse, Domestic Violence and Specialized training for all programs.

Special instructions: Training on Mondays will begin at noon and end at 4:00 pm. On Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays training will begin at 8:30 am and end at 4:00 pm. On Fridays trainings will begin at 8:30 am and end at noon. Supervisors requesting to register a current employee who has transferred to a new program for Specialized Week should email the employees name, EIN, Region, and Program to DCFS.CW-Training@LA.GOV by August 7, 2015.
