Advanced “Red Book” Training

The Pelican Center for Children and Families is partnering with the National Association of Counsel for Children (NACC) to present an Advanced “Red Book” Training. The training will be based upon the NACC publication, Child Welfare Law and Practice: Representing Children, Parents and State Agencies in Abuse, Neglect and Child Dependency Proceedings. Topics to be covered will include, but not be limited to:
• Making Constitutional Arguments in Dependency Cases
• Writs and Appeals
• Reasonable Efforts
• Child Development Informed Litigation
• Ethics – Civility in the Law Professions
• Cultural Competence

Special instructions: 6 hours of CLE and CEU credits will be applied for, including 1 hour of Ethics for attorneys. Lunch will be provided.
