DCFS Awarded $1.3 Million for Increasing Adoptions for Third Year in a Row

11.22.11 - To cap off Adoption Awareness Month, the Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) has been awarded more than $1.3 million from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) for the third year in a row. This award is given for increasing the number children in the state's foster care system that were placed into permanent adoptive homes.
