State Cyber Attack Guidance

On June 15th, the Governor’s Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness announced news of a major cyberattack affecting the Louisiana Office of Motor Vehicles, other governmental agencies, major businesses, and organizations. Anyone with a Louisiana Driver’s license, state-issued ID, or car registration is potentially affected. Read GOHSEP’s press release,  which offers guidance on securing your online information.

At this point, there is no evidence that DCFS systems have been compromised. We want to assure you we will remain vigilant as we monitor our systems for signs of fraudulent activity. In the meantime, there are ways you can protect your personal information and monitor your accounts for illegal activity.
